Our mission is to guide you through a process that can often feel daunting.  Whether you are undertaking a total renovation or updating a couple of rooms, we can work alongside you to ensure your layout, look and feel are right so that you end up with a home that is true to you and suits your way of living.  Nobody wants a house that seems ‘interior designed’ or that is timestamped by a particular look.  By drawing out your individuality in our designs, and by incorporating antiques and bespoke joinery and furnishings, our work rises above trends.

Following a degree at Edinburgh University and a Diploma in Interior Design from KLC, Amy spent her twenties working in hotel and residential design before establishing Amy Carlisle Design in 2010. Meeting at the school gates, and hitting it off instantly, Amy and Alanna quickly established their shared love of design and all things interiors. Alanna, with a degree in History from Oxford and a background in venture capital, joined forces with Amy in 2021 and after a happy and successful few years formed Carlisle Frieda in 2024. Together we bring a deep knowledge of design, a valuable little black book of dealers, craftspeople and suppliers, and enthusiasm, energy and experience to our projects.
